Deluxe Group Tour: Hue City - Itinerary

8am - 8.30am:

Your professional local English speaking tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the boat station to begin your Hue city tour. 

8.30am:

While onboard the Dragon Boat, you will ride along the Perfume river sightseeing Hue City from a different perspective.

We will disembark the Dragon Boat at walk up to visit Thien Mu pagoda, it is here you will larn about the history of the famous immolation of the monk in Saigon City. 

The bus will meet you at Thien Mu Pagoda and take you to visit the famous places on your Hue City Tour.

First you will visit the impressive Imperial Citadel, home to Vietnam’s last royal dynasty, The Nguyen Dynasty. With the nine Cannons, flag tower and the Purple Forbidden City among many others to see, this is the highlight of the Hue Day trip. 

Dong Ba market is next. The biggest commercial market in the centre of Hue city. All the most cultural gifts and souvenirs can be found here. 

12pm:

Now you will take a break from your Hue City Tour and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant with specialty dishes from Hue.

After lunch, you now have time to relax for 20 minutes before we continue in to the past and visit the Royal Tombs.

First we stop at the Khai Dinh tomb, tomb of emperor Khai Dinh ( 1885-1925 ) the 12th King of Nguyen dynasty.

Nex is a visit to Tu Duc tomb, tomb of emperor Tu Duc (1829-1883) the 2nd King of Nguyen dynasty.

Then we make our way to see some traditional businesses which have been around for centuries.

First up is the Conical hat village. See and learn how the locals make the conical hat (non la). (Non la- traditional indispensable accessory expressing the hidden charm and simplicity of women).

Then on to Incense stick making village, where you can observe how locals make sandalwood and cinnamon incense. Maybe they will let you have a go at making a batch!

4pm - 4.30pm:

Your tour will now end and you will be taken back to your hotel in central Hue City.
