Itinerary

This morning your private transport will collect you from your hotel and take you to Silver Waterfall, the highest in Vietnam with a 300m drop. An ascent to the base of the waterfall will enable you to explore the surrounding landscape. This is a famous spot and is regularly visited by monks to pray.

Continuing our journey, we will drive a further 3 km to Tram Ton Pass, the highest road in Vietnam at approximately 2000m above sea level. At this height you will feel a drop in temperature but the views are truly stunning, and you will have the opportunity to stretch your legs, explore and take photographs.

A further 3km drive will take you to the start point of your next walk, a descent through the jungle to the Love Waterfall & Golden Stream.

This area is known for cardamom crops, used for medicine, cooking and a significant source of income for the minority people.

After lunch at a local restaurant next on the route is a stop at Lao Chai, an established Hmong minority village which has been inhabited for centuries.

Here you will have the opportunity to see the products of this minority at its best with hereditary rice terraces, homes and a vibrant community. A short 4km walk on to Ta Van Village you will visit the Giay minority people.

This group traditionally fished for a living and as a result established themselves close to rivers. They have mastered the art of fishing with bamboo sticks, and cook the fish inside bamboo. Nowadays however you are more likely to see the Giay working in fields planting or harvesting rice.

Transport will be waiting in Ta Van to take you back to Sapa.
